Before the sales of 815 affordable apartments at the Yasamal Residential Complex - another project of the State Housing Development Agency - started on 15.09.2022, technical failures causing additional overload in the information systems of state bodies being infrastructure objects of public importance were discovered.
Considering the possible impacts of the abovementioned circumstances on the objective outcomes of the selection of affordable apartments in the current phase, date of the apartment selection process was postponed.
Large-scale cyber-attacks, using IP-splicing belonging to global hosting located beyond the country’s borders, on the “ASAN Login” system of the Electronic Government’s Development Centre was discovered during the preliminary investigations carried out by the State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Investigation and operational-technical measures have been carried out by starting a criminal case at the Investigation Department of the State Security Service to examine this fact under Article 273.4 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan (illegal meddling with a computer system or computer data of infrastructure objects of public importance).
At the moment, the concerning cyber-attack channels were fully identified and blocked jointly with related state bodies.
The public will shortly be informed of the date on which the selection of affordable apartments would take place.
