Changes were made to orders No.1113, dated 16 November 2016, “On some issues associated with the activities of the State Housing Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan”, and No.1819, dated 7 February 2018, “On some issues associated with ensuring the activities of the State Housing Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan”, by Order No.935, dated 13 February 2020, of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The primary objective of this change, made to the legislation, is to widen the possibilities for other persons with an electronic cabinet to acquire an apartment, by removing the cases where interchanging of apartments take place.
A family or a person eligible to acquire an apartment on preferential terms in accordance with the “Rules of acquisition by citizens of apartments being at the disposal of the State Housing Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan on preferential terms” may exercise this right once only. At the moment, the number of people who have been given an electronic cabinet in the “Affordable Housing” system is over 14 thousand.
Sale of apartments in the Yasamal Residential Complex, the first project of the Agency, has been completed, and to date, over 1600 families have owned affordable apartments.
An announcement will be made soon about the sale of apartments in the Hovsan Residential Complex, another project of the Agency.
