The Public Council for the Promotion of E-services under the State Agency for Public Services and Social Innovations held its next meeting.

Senior officials and experts from the State Agency for Public Services and Social Innovations, State Housing Development Agency, and the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies attended the meeting.

At the meeting dedicated to improving the "Affordable Housing" system, it was noted that the system was functioning in a durable, reliable, safe, transparent and uninterrupted operation mode, equal conditions were created for the selection of apartments, and transparency and operational efficiency was ensured. Also, it was emphasized that the initial presentation of this resource at the Public Council for the Promotion of E-services is of great importance.

Ceyhun Salmanov, representative of the State Agency for Public Services and Social Innovations, said that in accordance with the Decree No. 1885 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Measures of E-Government Development and Transition to Digital Government" dated 14 March 2018, implementation of the state policy and regulation of E-Government as well as insurance of the management and operation of the "E-Government" portal, and taking necessary measures to improve it was entrusted to the State Agency.

A Working Group consisting of the representatives of the organizations involved in ensuring the system's functioning for the elimination of the malfunctions in the selection of apartments through the "Affordable Housing" electronic system set up in the E-Government (www.e-gov.az) and its activity was coordinated by the State Agency. Also, measures were taken to distribute load for the applications by the "E-Government" portal, and the resources were raised for the elimination of stagnation. Various tests were conducted together with the parties concerned, and possible problems were identified and eliminated.

Elshad Mammadov, representative of the State Housing Development Agency (MIDA), gave information about the opportunities created for the users in the "Affordable Housing" electronic system, and made a presentation of www.yasamal.mida.gov.az, website of Yasamal Residential Complex, the first project of the Agency. He said that the DEMO version of the system was developed to enable users to get acquainted with all stages of the housing selection process, to achieve the ability to use electronic signature certificates or technical equipment.

The coordinator of the Public Council Osman Gunduz underlined the significance of coordinated activities in the implementation of such important projects and expressed his gratitude to the State Agency for Public Services and Social Innovations and the management of MIDA for holding such a public meeting.

Then, participants exchanged views on the issue under discussion, members of the Public Council asked many questions and proposals were made on the steps taken to address such problems.
