On March 14 2018, a meeting was held with the representatives of the youth organizations that are members of the National Assembly of Youth Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan at the State Housing Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The main purpose of this information tour organized by the Agency for activists of youth organizations is to familiarize young people with the process of implementation of the new social initiative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev on housing provision to the country citizens and to contribute to the development of youth organizations within the state youth policy carried out in the country.
It should be noted that the National Assembly of Youth Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been functioning since 1995 and its main goal is to direct the knowledge and skills of the young people to strengthening the state independence of Azerbaijan, its holding a decent place in the international arena and democratic development works.
Addressing the meeting participants with a welcoming speech, the head of the Administration of the State Housing Development Agency Anar Guliyev gave general information about the brief history of the institutional structure of the organization, key projects implemented over the past period and the strategic objectives of its future activities. Later, the director of Youth Affairs Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sport, Indira Hajiyeva gave a speech, highly appreciating the initiative to organize information tours for the youth of the country, and emphasized the special importance of this meeting held at the Agency in terms of educating young people.
Within the event, the staff of various departments of the State Housing Development Agency made presentations, giving detailed information on the structure and areas of activity of the Agency, large-scale works in the field of affordable housing, current construction projects, urban planning and architectural features of residential complexes, as well as the infrastructure created for comfortable and well-being of future residents.
Participants were also informed that “Affordable Housing” system was established on "E-Government" portal and put into use on May 30 2017 for the purpose of registering applications of citizens entitled to affordable housing. The "Affordable Housing" electronic system provides real-time, unified and publicly accessible registration of citizens' applications, as well as selection of housing in a virtual manner. To date, more than 8,000 citizens have been granted the right to receive housing through the "Affordable Housing" electronic system, creating a personal electronic cabinet for each of them.
At the end of the meeting, questions of interest to members of youth organizations were answered and wide exchange of views was held around the subject.
